Far East Organization has launched Jardin, a 140-unit freehold development in “hot spot” Bukit Timah. Jardin presents a new housing concept - “Sky Garden Housing” - that merges architecture and landscape into a living environment. These unique residential solutions - Sky Terrace Houses - range in size from 897 sq ft for a two-plus-one-bedroom single storey unit to 1,584 sq ft for a four-plus-one bedroom double storey loft unit.

“We see a growing demand for completed projects in the Bukit Timah area, a traditionally upscale residential district well favoured for the prestigious lifestyle it offers. The green leafy area is very popular with families and expatriate professionals who are drawn to the area's proximity to quality educational institutions including a good variety of international schools, excellent infrastructure and amenities and easy accessibility to major expressways. The area has also attracted owners from en bloc estates looking for value in the good variety of properties here,” says Mr Chia Boon Kuah, Chief Operating Officer, Property Sales, Far East Organization.

”Jardin with its unique French-themed garden setting concept and eco-environment features is a worthy addition to this established residential area. The location and concept of this exclusive estate make it a choice pick for homebuyers,” adds Mr Chia.

Sky Terrace Homes

Jardin offers a memorable presence along the prestigious Bukit Timah residential district. In line with the Urban Redevelopment Authority's drive for sky-rise greening, this 10-storey single block development will have multiple planes of green in the sky.

Extending out from the double-storey loft sky houses on alternate floors, are communal gardens. Single storey units have their own individual green balcony. These balconies, communal and individual, provide shade and act as buffer against city noises. The multi-functional, multi-purpose communal balconies also serve as walkways between living spaces.

This luxuriantly green environment will be augmented by the water features of its neighbouring estate, Gardenvista, using the Japanese landscape technique of Shakkei “of borrowing scenery”. The private internal facade is intentionally arranged to complement the shimmering waters from the pool of Gardenvista to create an illusion of steaming water that flows from the rooftop infinity pool of Jardin, down the facade, into this neighbouring body of water.

Jardin's Pavilion Sky Club that houses the aqua-pool and the infinity pool will have great views of the surroundings from its location on the roof. The carpark in the basement maximises the footprint of the estate and creates safe driveways.

Hot for Bukit Timah
