Serangoon, a charming area with a distinctive character, is very popular among homebuyers. With the operation of the North-East MRT line (NEL) in June 2003 and the Circle Line (CCL) in 2008, Serangoon will become even more attractive.

With a limited supply of quality new homes, an ever present housing demand, and plans by the URA to inject more vibrancy and synergy to this area as envisaged in its Draft Master Plan 2003, homes in this area will be eagerly sought after.

Anticipating this demand, Far East Organization has developed a gem of a development in this area. Aptly named Central View, it is superbly located near the Serangoon and Kovan MRT stations as well as the Central and Pan-Island Expressways, making access island-wide a breeze.

Central View breathes exclusivity. It has only 104 units spread out in two towers of 14 storeys. Residents of Central View live in quiet serenity, yet within a cosy community that reflects the spirit of kampong living.

The well-known firm of Ong and Ong Architects designed Central View with the residents' privacy as one of its main considerations. There are only four units on each floor. And the towers are situated in such a way that there are no direct-facing neighbouring blocks of flats. The towers, standing tall and impressive, are wrapped mostly by glass facades that reflect the lovely view of the poolside with refreshing vibrancy.

Central View apartments range in size from 980 sq ft to 1,292 sq ft, with the two- and three-bedroom apartments priced at about $500,000 and $600,000 respectively. Each room is well proportioned with a thoughtful layout that provides the most ideal floor plan for effortless decorating. The floor to ceiling windows in the living room allow natural light to flood the apartment bringing in a sense of brightness and freshness.

Each apartment is stylishly finished with sandstone marble tiles in the living and dining rooms, parquet flooring and wardrobes in the bedrooms, as well as modern kitchen and luxurious bathroom.

Central View has the full complement of recreational facilities: a large swimming pool, a wading pool, spa pool and children's playground. There are barbecue pits, gymnasium with seating area and changing rooms and saunas.

Amenities in the neighbourhood include the Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre located a short walk away. The Serangoon Town Centre is only about 10 minutes' walk from Central View. Serangoon Town Centre will be expanded and developed for its role as the heart of the North-East region, the Serangoon Sub-Regional Centre (SRC).

Located on Hougang Street 11, Central View is available for immediate occupation. Showflats are open daily from 9am-6pm. Please call 6284 5919 for more details.
