is conceptualised to set the benchmark for a new generation
of medical centres. It is differentiated as a modern 21st
century medical haven that brings healthcare delivery
to a new level.
Novena Medical Center's architectural design takes
on a holistic approach in order to achieve a sophisticated
building that evokes positive response, and enhances
a medical care-seeker's sense of well-being as well
as staff and visitor satisfaction. This is addressed
through good planning and careful attention to improving
the quality of the interior built environment with key
emphasis on good accessibility, easily navigable routes,
appropriate segregation for privacy and comfortable,
therapeutic surroundings.
Novena Medical Center will be a progressive space with
a plethora of modern trappings to enhance the experience
of its users. It will have a deluxe hotel-style lobby
approached by its own dedicated generous porte cochere
for the comfort of clients and visitors. It will house
145 well-designed and efficiently configured medical
suites for specialists and general practices, with the
IT and physical connectivity that modern medicine demands
today.
The medical suites, ranging in size from 452 sq ft
to 1012 sq ft, come with provisions for washrooms and
layout that can be easily configured to suit the medical
practitioners and visitors' needs and comfort. Each
suite is equipped with an individually controlled air-conditioning
system. |
|
All medical floors are clad in glazing, externally,
and are designed around a glazed central landscaped
courtyard. The suites will enjoy lots of natural light
with generous views of lush, landscaped gardens with
water features at the open courtyard and the external
surroundings. This large courtyard provides visual relief
as well as double up as a tranquil waiting area for
visitors and a relaxation space for staff.
In addition to lifts, escalators are integrated to
enhance inter-floor networking within the centre and
to the car park directly below with its ample parking
facilities. The escalators also provide alternative
routes and cut down waiting time for visitors as they
navigate between floors.
This fluid connectivity also extends to Tan Tock Seng
Hospital with its state-of-the-art medial equipment
and facilities, via an air-conditioned pedestrian bridge
with travellators wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs
and stretchers. Tan Tock Seng Hospital is one of the
partners in Novena Medical Center’s cooperation
network. This physical linkage will facilitate access
to the hospital's facilities.
Novena Medical Center aims to be a medical haven that
will provide a conducive working environment for healthcare
professionals, and a soothing ambience that will enhance
the wellness of clients and visitors.
