According to award winning interior architect,
Mink Tan, Principal of minktan::architects, there
are some important aesthetic considerations -
just as essential as the functionality of a new
technology - when creating an i-Home.
“We should still ask ourselves the fundamental
design questions when creating our i-Home or putting
digital technology into the lifestyle environment.
You cannot have your home looking like your office.
The fundamental design principles of acoustics,
lighting and colour should be considered when
creating an i-Home space,” said Mink Tan.
Speaking about Far East Organization's involvement
in this HP i-Home project, Mr Chia Boon Kuah,
Chief Operating Officer, Property Sales said,
“The reality nowadays is that a home is
no longer just bricks and mortar. The built environment
has evolved to integrate technology into the everyday
lives of ordinary people. We are pleased to collaborate
with HP to showcase their home technology and
allow users to experience the digital lifestyle
of the future.” |
