Converting one Orchard Parksuites lush apartment into a luxurious hi-tech residence, a HP i-Home, it showcases HP's latest available products that bring centralised, touch of a button digital joy into our domestic lives be it in the living room, the bedroom or the kitchen. The HP i-Home also features a home theatre and a gaming room. The seamless line-up of exceptional products being road tested spans the notebook, digital projector, handheld device, digital camera and photo printer spaces.

Industry experts enjoy the impact of a big-screen movie from the comfort of their armchair; experience the convergence of home entertainment and mobile computing; capture, edit and share creative shots; enjoy wireless all-in-one functionality with advanced creative true-to-life photo printing; and maximise personal productivity.

Robin Seow, General Manager, HP Personal Systems Group, Singapore said, “With HP i-Home we aim to show that the hi-tech house is no longer a futuristic caricature but an appealing experience where the entertainment needs of the entire family can be met at once, here and now.”

According to award winning interior architect, Mink Tan, Principal of minktan::architects, there are some important aesthetic considerations - just as essential as the functionality of a new technology - when creating an i-Home.

“We should still ask ourselves the fundamental design questions when creating our i-Home or putting digital technology into the lifestyle environment. You cannot have your home looking like your office. The fundamental design principles of acoustics, lighting and colour should be considered when creating an i-Home space,” said Mink Tan.

Speaking about Far East Organization's involvement in this HP i-Home project, Mr Chia Boon Kuah, Chief Operating Officer, Property Sales said, “The reality nowadays is that a home is no longer just bricks and mortar. The built environment has evolved to integrate technology into the everyday lives of ordinary people. We are pleased to collaborate with HP to showcase their home technology and allow users to experience the digital lifestyle of the future.”
