| Sino Group and its subsidiary, Sino Estates Management
Limited (SEML), received the Caring Company Logo 2003/2004
from the Hong Kong Council of Social Service in recognition
of their work in the community and their commitment to
corporate citizenship.
Sino Group received recognition for its employee and
community friendly policies as well as its contributions
to the community at large. It was a partner with Operation
UNITE Hearts in Unity, and the Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC)
in the fight against SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory
Syndrome) activities in March and May 2003. The Group
also played a major role in promoting the Social Welfare
Department (SWD)’s voluntary activities and supporting
fund-raising activities of other charitable organisations.
SEML, a two-time recipient of the Caring Company Logo,
was also awarded the Top 10 High Service Hour Award
2003 (Private Organisation) by SWD.
SEML’s Sino Volunteer Team was established in
2002. It gathered volunteers from staff, customers and
residents. SEML believes this close cooperation will
create harmonious neighbourhoods.
Sino Volunteer Team lent a helping hand in SWD’s
territory-wide scarf knitting campaign, old books collection
and World Vision’s old book collection and resale.
The team also supported the SARS Prevention Kit Campaign.
