As part of our organisational development programme, our Chief Executive Officer Mr Philip Ng delivered a series of keynote addresses at the end of 2005 and throughout 2006 focusing on a common theme – Unity in Business.

The thread that binds the various addresses is the need for the people of Far East Organization to transform ourselves into Business People Operating A Business. Transformation is very important to us as an Organization. Transformation enables us to change for the better.

We are Far East Organization. It is important that we stand together as ONE, united by our mission: To Be The Developer of Choice.

It is imperative that all of us understand and embrace our unique operating philosophy as owner-operators of our organisational assets. This operating philosophy shapes the ethos of Far East Organization and anchors us to do the right things for our customers, our partners in business and for one another.

To help the Organization better understand our business thrust, Mr Ng explained the structure of our business. Our three business pillars are Product Development, Sales & Marketing, and Asset Management. The roof of our business structure is Financial Management, which ensures an integral structure. The foundation is secured with our core values BUILD – Business Excellence, Unity, Integrity, Loyalty, Diligence – which are also our operating values.

All of us at Far East Organization feature and participate in one or more of these components of our business structure. In all that we do, we align our business objectives with our operational imperatives. We bring together good business ideas and operational know-how effectively into the whole equation.

At Far East Organization, we believe organisational development comes hand in hand with individual development. We aspire to transform ourselves into business people operating a business. People who understand our business thrust and are able to participate effectively in the business decision-making. We endeavour to bring more satisfaction and meaning to the work we are doing by realising our business ideas and business value. And in doing so, we open up new dimensions for ourselves.

Quoting Henry Ford: “He who believes that he can succeed, and he who believes that he cannot succeed, are both right”, Mr Ng exhorted that we must believe in ourselves, in Far East Organization, and in our products.

Believing is a choice and success is also a choice. We will succeed when we choose to believe that we can do it.
