The landmark cross-licensing agreement has paved the way for SQL View to incorporate government best practices and knowledge in its knowledge repository product, KRIS.

The agreement, the first of its kind in the local IT industry, allows SQL View to commercialise the product it has developed for the government for sale globally.

“We are grateful and fortunate to have Singapore Government as our product partner,” said Mr Stephen Lim, CEO and Managing Director of SQL View. Mr Lim added that this groundbreaking agreement signified the government’s endorsement of SQL View as a premier solution provider in knowledge and record management.

KRIS is the commercialised version of the electronic registry system (ERS) developed for the Ministry of Finance by SQL View in 1998. KRIS’s unique feature is its ability to cater for the working environment with its role-based and rule-based engine. It also has stringent security and authentication features.

Far East Organization is a major shareholder in SQL View.
