In 2003 frequent business travellers voted The Fullerton Singapore as the Best New Business Hotel in the World, and for the second year running, of the Asia-Pacific region.

Mr Ivan Lee, Chief Executive Officer of The Fullerton Singapore, received the Best New Business Hotel in Asia-Pacific award from former president of The Republic of the Philippines, Mr Fidel Ramos, at the annual Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Awards Luncheon held in Hong Kong on 19 September 2003. He also attended the Business Traveller UK Awards Luncheon held in London on 23 September 2003, where he received the Best New Business Hotel in the World award for The Fullerton Singapore from HRH Princess Alexandra.

Both the Asia-Pacific and the World awards are the result of an annual readership poll conducted by Business Traveller Asia-Pacific (BTAP) and Business Traveller UK (BTUK), respectively.

“We are very pleased that business travellers, not only in the Asia-Pacific region but also in United Kingdom and Europe have chosen The Fullerton Singapore as the Best New Business Hotel. These two awards are testament to the high quality of service and facilities in our hotel. We would like to thank all our guests and will strive to maintain and further enhance our service standards to not only meet but also exceed their expectations,” said Mr Gerhard Kropp, General Manager of The Fullerton Singapore.

For these two award categories, BTAP and BTUK readers were asked to nominate new hotels opened in the last three years based on criteria such as location, quality of service, quality of rooms, amenities and facilities.
