On 11 September 2003, Far East Organization (FEO) received its sixth consecutive Distinguished Patron of the Arts Award. The award ceremony was held at the Esplanade Concert Hall with Dr Lee Boon Yang, Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, as the guest-of-honour.

The National Arts Council presents Patron of the Arts Awards to individuals and organisations in recognition of their contributions to the arts community in Singapore. The arts groups supported by FEO include the National Arts Council, Singapore Dance Theatre and the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
